Margret Thatcher was the first female Primeinister of the United Kingdom and was the conservative party leader from 1979 to 1990. Margret Thatcher was also known as the iron lady, this nickname was given to her by the Soviet press after a speech she gave, Declaring that "the Russians are bent on world dominance,", also during her time at the helm of the British government she supported many ideals such as nationalism and famously declaring that "There is no such thing as society". She was known for holding her ground and took a firm stance with the European community; she declared at a Conservative Party conference that she had no intention of changing her mind.

I think magnet thatcher was a great leader  and although you don’t hear much about united kingdom politics they still have allot of impact and the Canadian and American politics. I think she gave a good name to the British Government and showed what really could be done if you had the power to do so, and she gave a good name Women in Government .

U.S. navy moves sea based radar platform closer to the Korean coast so that they can better monitor north Koreas nuclear activity .

South Korean marines fire manned K-55 Howitzer tanks  for practice on April 1st. North Korean President said that they will be ready for any threat caused by south Korea after they have stated that they both are in a state of war .

The United states flew stealth bombers over north Korea on march 28th. Tensions became high with north Korea .

The united states also put ships in the Korean peninsula for training exercises.

What I think about all this is that it’s kind of like a really really small scale cold war. Korea is threatening nuclear attacks and manning the weapons. But what I think the united states are doing is just letting them know that they aren’t afraid of them. I’m sure the last thing that the us wants is a war but I’m sure that if there was one the U.S. wouldn’t let it get on their soil.

the reson i think why Kim jong un is crazy and is making all these threats is that hes power hungary and hes young and he thinks just because he can do it he should. but what he doesnt understand is that the united states is much more powerful than North Korea and they wont win unless they have some pretty big tricks up there sleaves.

Just days ago North Korea served up there latest group of threats towards the United States, saying that there military are combat ready and are targeting the United States.

-"The U.S. is fully capable of defending ourselves and our allies against an attack" by North Korea, said Lt. Jack Miller, a Pentagon spokesman.

-"We are firmly committed to defending the Republic of Korea and Japan," he added, using the official name for South Korea.

What I think of this is that north Korea has some serious fire power but the training and the firepower of the united states could really out gun them. Also not to mention if Korea where to harm any of the allies of the united states they would have them to deal with as well. North Korea isn’t the biggest of countries and it doesn’t seem like they have much support from other countries in Asia. Also the united states and the allies definitely don’t want an attack on their homes.

Current events.

French developer Ubisoft entertainment Is very well known for the “Assassins Creed” Games that pretty much come out every year since 2007 and have five major titles on the Xbox 360 ps3 and pc and several smaller titles on hand held devices such as the Nintendo DS and the Sony PlayStation vita.

It is 2013 and after the great success of the fifth game assassins creed III Ubisoft has announced the latest game in the franchise and is called Assassins Creed IV Black Flag witch follows a British pirate through the Caribbean and all of his swashbuckling adventures.

With the subject matter of the game being in the 1800’s and about the adventures of pirates on the open seas you would think any controversy towards the game would be related to over use of profanity or the level of violence but the Animal right organization PETA  criticized Assassin's Creed for the inclusion of whaling, saying that it is 'disgraceful' for a video game to 'glorify' whaling An official PETA statement read "Whaling—that is, shooting whales with harpoons and leaving them to struggle for an hour or more before they die or are hacked apart while they are still alive—may seem like something out of the history books, but this bloody industry still goes on today in the face of international condemnation, and it's disgraceful for any game to glorify it. PETA encourages video game companies to create games that celebrate animals—not games that promote hurting and killing them."

I think PETA has gone way overboard. Is it bad kill whales? Yes. Is it harmless in a video game that is rated mature and can only be played by people of age? Yes. Also this is historically accurate to what would have happened in the 1800’s and if PETA is criticizing a video game for teaching a history lesson im not sure that I could take a origination so radical and so outrageous seriously.

#Jedimindmeld

Obama said Friday he didn't have the power to "somehow do a Jedi mind meld with these folks and convince them to do what's right" well this didn’t go over well with the nerd community including star wars and star trek fans alike. If you don’t know the president mixed two sayings from two different sci fi movies being star wars and star trek. These two movies fan base’sbeing well known for hating one another. Needless to say when the president mixed the two saying Jedi mind trick and Vulcan mind meld   it didn’t just upset fans but star trek stars George Takai and Lenard Nemoy signed a petition fans had made for the apology of the president.

Django unchained is the new movie from writer director Quentin Tarentino. The movie is great and has earned multiple Oscar nominations but the impact the movie is having on modern audiences is another story. Quentin made another movie titled Inglorious Bastards witch has a bit of the same subject matter but the controversy under Django is that they idealized and glorified slavery. In the movie Django and his German friend visit multiple slavery plantations and the way they are portrayed is slaves in the fields in nice clothes doing manual labor with occasional acts of abuse towards the slaves. Audiences and critics for the most part don’t have a problem with the movies accuracy to the true history of slave trading in the deep south but some have a problem with the over use of the “N Word”. Tarentino is known for the over use of this word in movies such as pulp fiction but one has to ask is all this controversy good or bad for the movie. Maybe it will hurt the movie on awards night but it also might bring some people to the theater and in the long run to if you can say your movies won some awards it will help sales in the years to come. One also has to ask if its fair that controversy towards movies should even be a factor when it comes to awards. This is a reality that Katharine Bigalows new film “Zero Dark Thirty” is suffering from. The heavy subject matter is based on a true story and there has been some speculation as to how accurate it is to the events of Osama Binladens assassination and the fact that they are basically condoning torture such as water boarding. But should any of this really effect these movies on awards night. They either win or they don’t win and that’s all it really comes down to.
